Hotel Machiavelli: To the right of SanJacopo in Campo Corbolini Church, founded in 1206 which belonged to the Knights Templar from 1256 and after several adventures in the early 1700 a small convent was built next to the Church and it is here that now you find the Hotel Machiavelli. Two noble florentine families BARONTINI SALIMBENI very famous in Siena and Florence for their political and commercial initiatives, bought and changed the convent in a stately house, the heraldic emblem on the front of the palace proves it. Completely renovated in 1990 but retaining all the best florentine features of the period, with some lovely old wood carved ceilings, and frescoes, give to the Hotel a typical atmosphere of old Florence. Yet it offers all the comfort of a modern hotel. Located right in the historical centre, 200 metres from the Railway Station, ExhibitionArea and ConventionHall. The buffet breakfast is served in the old refectory with frescoes of the ex convent. |
